SatRadar shows satellites overhead on a live map. This page explains exactly what data it handles.
None. SatRadar has no account system, no sign-in, and no backend server of our own. Your satellite filters and display preferences are stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
SatRadar asks for your location only to center the map on the sky above you. Your location is used entirely on-device for this purpose and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
To show satellite positions, SatRadar fetches publicly available orbital data (TLE and satellite catalog records) from the third-party service CelesTrak (celestrak.org). These requests only ever contain a satellite/catalog identifier — no personal information, device identifiers, or location data is sent. CelesTrak's own privacy practices apply to that request traffic; DFB Software does not control or receive any data from them beyond the orbital data itself. Fetched data is cached on-device to reduce repeat requests.
SatRadar contains no third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking of any kind. We don't use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we don't track you.
SatRadar offers an optional one-time premium unlock, processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Payment details are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy — DFB Software never sees or stores your payment information.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@dfbsoftware.dk.
