Word Learner is a vocabulary-learning app for families, built to work entirely on your device. This page explains exactly what that means.
None. Word Learner has no account system, no sign-in, and no backend server. Child profiles, curriculum progress, and settings (such as preferred languages and parent gate preferences) are stored only in the app's local storage on your device — DFB Software never receives or has access to this data.
If a parent records their voice saying a word, that recording is saved only in the app's local storage on your device. Recordings are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with DFB Software or anyone else.
Curriculum illustrations are bundled with the app. If an image isn't available locally, the app may fetch it via a standard HTTPS request as a fallback — these requests only ever contain the image file itself, never any personal information, device identifiers, or account data.
Word Learner contains no third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking of any kind. We don't use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we don't track you.
Word Learner offers an optional one-time premium unlock, processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Payment details are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy — DFB Software never sees or stores your payment information.
